We are minutes away from the lake and we offer an array of products in our convenience store such as firewood, propane, packaged liquor, food, toiletries, fishing supplies, and much more.

Hit the Lake!
There are many ways that you can enjoy Rend Lake and one of them is getting out on the lake in a boat, your own kayak, or one of our rental kayaks. Before you launch your boat or set off on a kayaking adventure, stop by our store and look around. We have all the things that you need on your adventure. If you forget something… We are just a few minutes drive from the lake so you can get to the store and back on the lake in no time!

Go Fishing!
There are few hobbies that can compete with fishing. There is something about being out on the lake, hearing the waves gently crash onto the bank. At Black Dog Storage and Kayak Rentals, we have a great selection of fishing products. If you need lures, string, live bait, bobbers, or anything else that you can think of, we have you covered. Stop by our store before you head out to see if there is anything that you might need for your trip.

People come to Rend Lake for all kinds of reasons and one reason is the beauty! Southern Illinois offers scenery hard to find in most other places in the country and we have miles upon miles of hiking trails to take advantage of. The biking community is growing daily and more bike trails are popping up all over the country. We have many world class biking trails in Southern Illinois and over 20 miles of paved biking trails at Rend Lake! Rend Lake bike trails are used by bikers of all ages and skill levels. Black Dog Storage and Kayak rentals is here to fuel your ride with snacks and drinks or you can swing by our store and check out our new video gaming room.
